Creeting lakes in Suffolk continues to provide top rate consistent sport with match weights to 133lb and some near 200lb pleasure weights. Exploding into life with the sunshine it is a bite a cast all-round the lakes. Harry Broom, from Bury landed over 55 carp and a few bream from the top lake, whilst Stowmarket regular John Lear enjoyed an eleven fish net of carp to 21lb from the Big Lake.

Day ticket venue Halesworth lakes in Suffolk is proving highly popular with all three lakes providing exciting fishing. Ben Carter made the trip from Beccles worthwhile with an 18 carp haul on popped up boilie in the middle lake, his largest fish weighed 18lb13oz. Burgess AC match averaged 43lb per man with top weight of 119lb 2oz provided by Mark Goode.

Kilburn Lake 2 miles outside of Derby continues to provide consistent sport for day ticket anglers and match weights to 95lb . Pole fished meat/paste at 4m the winning method. Pete Abbott made the trip from Derby worthwhile with a catch of 35 carp to 4lb on paste and pellet.

Bristol angler Tom Stokes enjoyed his trip to Dodford Lake in Christian Malford landing 32 carp to 16lb on float fished paste. John Brown from Swindon christened his new rod with a near 90lb catch of carp to 8lb. Fishing on the surface has produced a number of larger fish to 19lb

Anglers at Yaxley lake in Suffolk are now enjoying super sport as the carp compete to be caught. Recent catches have also seen surface baits taking carp to 19lb with Diss angler Gary Ambrose using old fashioned crust to land twelve fish over 10lb each. Match weights to 79lb and with margin and surface fishing best.

Nether Stowey Lakes near to Bridgwater, Somerset is the ideal place for a mixed days fishing, with pleasure carp catches to 100lb and specimen roach to just under 2lb. Pellet and paste baits popular and surface fishing for the larger fish. A bite a chuck in the margins from small fish and local youngster Guy Harvard, 11yrs, whipped out over 70 fish for a busy days fishing .

The newly opened Oxborough Lakes near Thetford is beginning to establish itself, with the warmer weather providing some exciting surface fishing with carp from 10lb to 20lb on the main lake. The small lake is ideal for smaller fish from 1lb to 8lb with catches to 70lb. Big fish angler Dave Woods landed 9 fish to 19lb using dog biscuit near the island.

The ever popular Shrewley Pool in Warwick is providing spectacular sport, with ton up match weights and huge pleasure catches from all areas. Paste and pellets all popular baits and mid water fishing for cruising carp is proving a good tactic. Larger fish from the margins using bigger baits for fish to 16lb.
